Daily Kos

Blog, Blog, Blog, Who Are You Reading?

I have been reading the blogs for a little more than two years now and have an ever expanding reading list.  This has made me wonder which blogs my DailyKos brothers and sisters are reading and why, how often, how they found them, etc.

I found Kos by watching CNN believe it or not.  Wolf Blitzer in the afternoon, sitting there having a late lunch and all of a sudden there is the Kos screen and they are talking about the effects of the Kerry vs. Bush election in/on the blogosphere and it was a total zen moment for me.

I rushed to my computer and typed in DailyKos on the google  bar and was reborn.  I live in a totally red state (Florida) in the worst of this red state, the panhandle.  We have people standing outside of our local nightspot, we really only have the one, with bibles in their hands yelling and pointing out all of the failings of mankind and what will happen to you should you actually cross that stoop and pay for a cocktail.

We have a young man who stands on the main strip with a huge wooden cross, dressed in a white sheet? toga?, with a crown of thorns on his head, reading his bible, in this absolutely horrible heat, and he is there all day long. (I always wonder where the hell his parents are, and what they did to him to drive him to this, truly I do). Seriously, it doesn't get any redder than this, and I am a fish out of water here.

So I found the blogs.  First Kos, then Atrios (now Eschaton), then Josh Marshall at Talking Points, then the Moderate Independent, Mother Jones, AmericaBlog, and Crooks and Liars, and then the HuffPost, and Firedoglake, and on on....Mr. Panicbean can become quite frustrated with me and the blogs at times.  Of course it all levels out when college football comes around, now doesn't it?

There are lots more that I read, like Raw Story and Next Hurrah and Bradblog.  On and on, like I said.  But enough about me, what and who do you read?  And why and how long? How did you find them?

Share with me and all of us who you read daily, if you are so inclined.  Thanks!
