A GREAT Chuck Hagel Ad idea
Sat Aug 02, 2008 at 01:25:32 PM PDT
Now we know Chuck Hagel "hasn't decided" yet who he is supporting for president. My take is if he hasn't decided yet, he will probably be voting for Obama. Could an endorsement be in the works, hopefully soon?
Now I DON'T want Hagel on the ticket (way too conservative) but a strong endorsement AND supporting Ad would be huge.
Here is an ad idea.

WOLFSON: Clinton to “Express Her Support for Obama” Friday
Wed Jun 04, 2008 at 05:26:20 PM PDT
This will be very short.
From Halperin at
http://thepage.time.com/...
"Senator Clinton will be hosting an event in Washington, DC on Friday to thank her supporters and express her support for Senator Obama and party unity."
One can only hope this is the last time we hear from Mr. Wolfson, Lanny Davis, etc.
What I just wrote to Senator Byrd, D-WV
Mon Jun 02, 2008 at 12:07:04 PM PDT
Sure this is late, but I've been traveling and offline for weeks:
I urge Obama supporters to thank Senator Robert Byrd for endorsing Obama.

Stop Attacking Edwards
Thu May 15, 2008 at 11:24:21 PM PDT
Disclaimer: I am working for Barack Obama, but I will always be an Edwards Democrat
According to the Math, the race ended yesterday

Bear with me through this and you'll see that Obama has won the nomination.
John Edwards Endorsement Revealed! (clip)
Fri May 09, 2008 at 07:51:00 AM PDT
This morning former candidate John Edwards made his endorsement all but official. He admitted during questioning that he will be endorsing the candidate that he voted for in the Carolina primary.
When speaking about the person he voted for, he gives away their gender - pretty much sealing the deal:
Superdelegates: Time to Endorse
Wed Apr 23, 2008 at 08:27:48 AM PDT
Below is a list of unpledged Superdelegates that have not endorsed Clinton or Obama. Its time to come out now and endorse and end this primary so the Democratic Party can unite against John McInsane err I mean MCain.
Superdelegate convention sends wrong idea
Thu Mar 27, 2008 at 07:15:00 AM PDT
I think the idea of a superdelegate convention sends the wrong idea, the truth maybe, but the wrong picture to the rest of the world. It says, you can have all the primaries you want, but the party bigwigs are going to get together afterwards, and decide who the nominee is. I believe individual endoresements now, over the next few weeks, is a much better solution.
The idea of superdelegates gathering anywhere, even at the convention, is a bad idea. This year, of all years, it is imperative we look united and get behind our candidate, and that the candidate is the people's choice.

When will Edwards endorse Obama?
Wed Mar 19, 2008 at 01:18:02 PM PDT
After seeing Senator Obama's speech, it has never been clearer to me who should be the next President of the United States. I say that as someone who was an enthusiastic Edwards supporter. What I would like to know now is, Did John Edwards hear this speech? And if so, what does he plan to do about it?
Where are the Clinton superdelegates that will give her the nod?
Thu Mar 13, 2008 at 10:33:02 PM PDT
So, Clinton's strategy has been to get the superdelegates to overturn the voters. However, where are they?
We are One Million strong & We can end this.
Fri Mar 07, 2008 at 04:22:29 PM PDT
It's a snowy weekend here in Tennessee, so I'm thankfully afforded some time to reflect on the events of the week. Obama wins Vermont & Texas (delegate win). Clinton takes Ohio & Rhode Island. There is very little change in the delegate gap between the two candidates.
The already inaccurate media narrative describing the relative chances of each candidate winning the nomination worsens.
Major superdelegates like Edwards, Richardson, and Gore remain silent as the Clinton campaign breaks all the rules relating to party discipline, party unity, and ethics. The Obama camp remains reticent to respond forcefully. Mississippi and Wyoming vote over the next four days. For Obama supporters, this weekend is about staying focused and taking charge of each and every daily news cycle.
John Edwards Could Have a Huge Impact (Updated)
Fri Mar 07, 2008 at 12:01:47 PM PDT
on the remainder of this race if he endorses and campaigns for Obama.
I have long thought that Edwards had missed his opportunity to give a meaningful endorsement of either candidate after Super Tuesday came and went without him doing so. Last Tuesday changed my mind.
As pointed out by others here, Obama performed horribly with the Appalachia portion of Ohio. This region will, however, be critical in several of the remaining primaries -- PA, WV, and Kentucky and is the one of the main reasons that HRC is favored to win these primaries. It seems unlikely that Obama will pull out victories in any of these states without making significant inroads with these voters.
John Edwards, I think, can speak to these voters better than obama or HRC. He could help Obama craft his message to better appeal to them. Ideally, he could campaign in these areas as Obama's surrogate as Bill has done for HRC. If he was willing to undertake these efforts on Obama's behalf, it would have a huge change on the dynamics of the remaining races.
Further, Edwards was very effective at taking HRC on without appearing overly negative. As a surrogate, he could help Obama on this front as well.
What do you think?
A reason Edwards hasn't endorsed: March 15th.
Fri Mar 07, 2008 at 09:03:31 AM PDT
With all the calls on Edwards to endorse (either candidate), there is one compelling reason why he has not yet done so that I haven't seen mentioned. Delegates.
Al Gore needs to step in now and endorse
Fri Mar 07, 2008 at 08:13:51 AM PDT
Barack Obama. Hillary can't win. The delegates are not with her. The Super Delegates are moving towards Obama. The Most Super of the Super Delegates must step in now and endorse Obama. AL GORE..PLEASE ... STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND ENDORSE OBAMA.
Hillary is out to destroy Obama's chances to become the president of the United States of America.
We can't afford to have McCain as a president..we don't have time.. the planet does not have the time to afford a McCain presidency...we don't have the luxury of having a candidate like Hillary to pussyfoot around with the will of the people because of her ego. She has to go.
Why Gore Must Endorse - Now.
Thu Mar 06, 2008 at 11:50:08 AM PDT
There is a poignant column in the New York Post today that urges Al Gore to pick up the red phone. I believe it is imperative that he answers the call immediately, or risk losing the coalition that democrats have worked so hard to build over the past few years. It really is an emergency 3 AM crisis.
Why Now? As columnist Charles Hurt points out: Clearly, neither candidate is going to drop out before the convention. The math simply isn't there for either candidate to garner a win on the basis of pledged delegates. So eventually, it's going to come down to superdelegates (of which Gore is the most prominent) anyway. If he waits, he risks the democratic candidates tearing each other apart to the point that John McCain only has to re-hash negative talking points that have been driven into the American psyche about the Democratic nominee. Furthermore, he gives Republicans more time to organize and coalesce around a message... and to raise more money.
Breaking. It takes no balls to endorse Obama now!!
Tue Feb 26, 2008 at 08:07:14 PM PDT
Another day another half dozen people or so, some of which I would have to google to know who they are, have endorsed Obama. While this is fine and dandy it is really meaningless at this point.
Hillary fought against NAFTA! Edwards folks, take note.
Thu Feb 14, 2008 at 10:32:23 PM PDT
John and Elizabeth Edwards ran a valiant campaign to bring Democrats and others in close touch with the scandal that is poverty in this rich country.
They advocated admirably for us all to go back to New Orleans and start to break the deadlock and right the wrongs that have been visited on the working families and the poor there. They travelled the country to bring the stories of the mill workers and steel workers and thousands of others who lost lifetime jobs when the manufacturing sector took on foreign addresses. And they talked about the evils of NAFTA for the people in other countries. (Hillary shares the Edwards' concern and has made several major proposals to continue to address their efforts. more later)
Now that the Edwards campaign has been suspended, Senator Obama has begun to speak about NAFTA. He has his eye on primaries in states that have been especially hard hit, where many displaced workers support Senator Edwards or Senator Clinton. His material and surrogates are giving voters the impression that Hillary is responsible for NAFTA because Bill came to support it.
