But just in case; I am talking about the Barry Bl(SH)itt(T) cartoon of Barack and Michelle Obama and while this "Well Meaning" Liberal and his "Money Hungry" boss , spent all day yesterday explaining it away, they missed the point as do many others just like him who think they can scream "But I'm a LIBERAL!" to defend themselves against outcry when they do something stone cold stupid and racist like the cover of the New Yorker. I get the joke. I'm not pissed off because I don't "Get It". I'm not pissed off because I don't know what "Satire" is. I know what "Satire" is. But I'm STILL pissed off.

There is a problem within the Black Community as it pertains to the epidemic of Black men who are using this nations horrible history as an excuse to not take responsibility for their families , communities and their country. It is TRUE. It is a fact !. And every time anyone attempts to address the Black men in this country, they throw a fit. Black women try to address it and we are accused of "keeping a brutha down". Whites try to address it and they are accused of being racist. Black men , who are responsible , try to address it and they are attacked as well. As was Obama by Jessie Jackson.
Pundits have nothing new and of interest to talk about with regards to the 2008 Election , so they are stuck reporting basically nothing and trying their hardest to look and sound like they are excited. Those disappointed in the outcome of the Democratic Primaries are still pulling out that left over Beef Stroganoff (sp) casserole , combing for little bits of meat while ignoring the overwhelming smell of mold in their argument. Republican activists , realizing that for the first time in 6 years , they failed to successfully politicize the Fourth of July to their advantage, are now strategizing to politicize the anniversary of 911. Democratic activists do what they always do when they get bored in a General Election; seek to fine tune their party's candidate , analyzing him with a magnifying glass and going over the party's talking point positions, with a fine toothed comb in preparation for the Fall.
I KNOW I am not the only one here who's tired of the recent nit picking of Barack Obama all in the name of "expressing concerns" , "validating doubts" , "holding accountable" , "fighting for the cause" , "standing up to the power to be" , or whatever name is being given to the criticism.
All we are doing right now , is shadow boxing. Throwing hard punches in the air proving that we can be swift like a butterfly and sting like a bee. Why are we still acting as though we are in Democratic Primary mode? In case this little bit of info slipped past anyone , let me post this reminder;
Every time the Democrats draw blood , John Mc Cains BBQ Picnic Pals in the Media try to come to his rescue and start telling Democrats what is fair and not fair. However, when Democrats are attacked by Republicans , Mc Cains BBQ Picnic Pals in the Media always say it's fair game to attack Barack Obama and Democrats. Remember: It was fair to question John Kerrys Military record in 2004 wasn't it ?
The Republicans are throwing a fit and crying "Where's The New Politics ?" because Democrats are rightfully charging (via GENERAL Wes Clark) that Mc Cain does not have the qualifications to be CIC because he led no mission and never sent anyone to battle.It's true. And Mc Cains BBQ Picnic Pals are all fussy and "such as" , because we are ruining their only good story for John Mc Cain. "He deserves to win the White House because he's a War Hero." Well, this ain't a game with prizes!

As you all know , Michelle Obama was taken out of context when she spoke to us in Wisconsin and expressed that for the first time in her life, she had never been more proud of her country.
We all know Michelle was talking about the unprecedented engagement of the American people and it's true. We have not been this active as a whole in decades. But the Media wanted to make it about Patriotism. I wonder if the same applies to John M Cain
The more I research John Mc Cain , the more I am puzzled by this misconception that he is qualified to be Commander In Chief let alone President of the United States simply because he was shot down in Vietnam and was a P.O.W. I mean no disrespect and I dare anyone to question my patriotism. My family has more active duty Military and vets in it than the average Republican in Congress. So, they can't tell me anything about sacrifice and service at all.
I would not be pitching a fit like this , if John Mc Cain could demonstrate just an ounce of good judgement about the current state of our Foreign Policy and National Security, but he has failed to do so time and time again. Not only did he vote for this war and defend Bush Policy wholeheartedly , he doesn't understand the enemy. Hell, he can't even identify the enemy. Times are too dangerous for someone who doesn't even know the difference between a Sunni and a Shiite. Why is that so important ?
If I were a Republican, I would be secretly pooping bricks, and praying that no one notices that John Mc Cain has a very serious problem with his party. Right Wing Conservative Evangelicals are very likely going to sit the 2008 Elections out because it would be against their "Christian Conservative values" to vote for the "Two-Faced Maverick" Mc Cain or the "Equality Trumps Intolerance Democrat", Barack Obama.
I am so very dissapointed with Hillary tonight , that I just can't think clearly. I cannot believe she would go before the United States of America and take a huge dump on this historic event. But, that's the way she is. I have heard her supporters and people who know her , tell me for months that the Hillary they know is not the Hillary I see. When the Democratic Primary first began , it was their only argument . Many Kossacks here , often complained or joked about it. It was the only argument we would hear from their campaign. Hillary Clinton is inevitable. Hillary Clinton is electable. Hillary Clinton is the only candidate who can win in November. The Proof ?
POLL NUMBERS.
Cherry picked poll numbers were the only "proof" of their argument. Day in and day out , we would see diary after diary citing the latest poll numbers that benefited Hillary and cast doubt about her opponents. There were always requests for Clinton supporters to debate on the issues , but all we got were cherry picked poll numbers. Remember ?
John McCain , as any typical GOP Bush-bot would , used another patriotic holiday to attack Barack Obama and by extension , the Democratic Party in the area of Foreign Policy. John McBush had the nerve to assert that HE could teach Barack Obama some things about Foreign Policy and accused Obama of wanting to surrender from day one because of his opposition to the war in Iraq. But I am wondering, what exactly does John McBush want to teach Barack Obama ?
I am pleased that our Democratic Leadership has come out and forcefully rejected and denounced the comments George Bush made overseas in Israel attacking Senator Barack Obama , the presumptive Democratic Nominee. I had not seen Obamas response posted , so I am posting it as well. Now is the time to come together as Democrats and aggressively answer this smear.
I don't want to create the illusion that I speak for all African Americans. We're not a monolithic group . I was born and raised in California and my ideology is vastly different from African Americans from the South and theirs is vastly different from African Americans on the East Coast. Having said that , I also want to make it clear that I do not believe voters in one predominately White American state speaks for all predominantly White American states. Pretty elementary , I know . But unfortunately , many of us are not acting as though we know and understand this truth when we are talking about the different demographics voting in these different state Primaries.
I can't take it anymore. I'm sick of walking on eggshells. I'm sick of having to be the bigger person when it comes down to dealing with Clinton supporters so we don't "jeopardize the General". I'm sick of being told that I have to be "careful" and "gentle" and be the grown up when dealing with their attitude towards Obama and not respond too harshly . I'm sick of it ! I'm sick of this thing dragging on . We all know Obama will be the Democratic Nominee and I just want to sink my teeth into John Mc Cain already , but I can't because I am constantly having to deal with Clinton Tactics and this process is driving me crazy. Why does it feel like I am dealing with a totally different party with them ? I want it OVER !
I wonder if Hillary Clinton will be asked to reject and denounce the endorsement of Gov. Ed Rendell. This diary will be short because what I am about to show you , needs no explanation. But for rules sake , I'll add some text below the fold and I'll throw in a poll so you can weigh in.
I will try to make this brief , but I don't know if I can. I confess upfront , this is a touchy subject for me , not just as an African American , but as a Progressive and I tend to carry on and on. But, I will try to keep it brief. Okay fellow Kossiacks , before we launch a "Million Concerned Diary March", here over Rev. Wrong and Barack Obama's urgent need to distance himself from his ridiculous comments , I want to make something clear.
In defense of those of us who are saying that this is not a big deal , I want to clarify the sentiment. We are not sitting up here acting as though this is not worth addressing. We are under no allusions that this is not something that Obama will be attacked for.

I am an African American woman who was supporting Barack Obama ever since he announced because out of all of the candidates that I did research on , he was the one I could see myself going to bat for through the good and the bad. I even had to do a month of "opposition" research before I made my choice because when I pick a candidate, I stick with that candidate. So, you better believe I checked everything on everyone. I knew about the Rezko crap before I sent my first check. I knew it would come up and I knew there would be nothing. I'm also a Gen X-er so I did not lay weight to his Bi-Racial Heritage. I supported him despite the challenges that he may or may not have had to face. But , I saw him as a unique individual who would transcend Race because of his beautiful ethnic heritage. He is both of African and Irish decent just like my nieces and nephews are.
